The emerging Greek market is getting a strong boost of enhancement from a new supplier license.

Suitability Licence

Playson Expansion

The deal expands Playson’s global presence in regulated markets across Europe and represents another significant building block to reach more players worldwide.

ISO 27001 Recognition

This key recognition for Playson comes on the heels of additional recent ISO 27001 information security certification to enhance the game studio’s already renowned compliance credentials.

Playson Spokesperson Speaks

Playson General Counsel Andrei Andronic expressed delight at securing a licence “that ensures a continuation and expansion of our hit games within the newly regulated territory of Greece, a fast-growing market at the heart of a crucial region for Playson.”

Andronic further emphasised the importance of this license to enhance Playson's reputation for

“providing the best and safest games to our partners,” as he looked forward to “a new chapter in Greece.”

Diversifying the Marketplace

The deal enhances offerings in the revamped Greek market after a recent major operators license was awarded by the Hellenic Commission to leading virtual sport and betting solutions provider GoldenRace.

With access to all operators, the integrated retail and online GoldenRace license is sure to spur competition and development alongside Playson to benefit the Greek market.

The Transformed Market

The Greek market revenue is rising from strong 2019 Gaming Revenue showing of 15,961.85 million euros in 2019, according to Greek Gambling Market Statistics Report 2019.

New Era Benchmarking

This key figure is the chronological benchmark for the last full fiscal before the nine years prevailing temporary license system in Greece was abolished and applications were opened for permanent licenses in Greece.
