New Poker Reality Show Kicks Off

2 months, $2 million hit US screens for first time on Sunday.

A highly anticipated new poker reality television show featuring four professionals hit US screens on Sunday.

"2 months, $2 million" features online poker pros Dani "Ansky" Stern, Emil "Whitelime" Patel, Brian "Flawless Victory" Roberts and Jay "Krantz" Rosenkrantz, aiming to collectively earn $2 million over, you guessed it, a period of two months.

The four team members play online poker out of a huge mansion, with two rooms designed to suit their needs: the "War Room," a home theater equipped with four 50 inch plasma monitors; and the Tilt Room, with equipment like baseball hats and hockey sticks to let the four competitors forget about poker.

Rosenkrantz told Poker News Daily that the four tailored their strategy to the fact that they were working on a specific schedule.

"Our general strategy was to play as big as possible as often as possible," Poker News Daily quoted him as saying. "You're also adhering to G4's production schedule, so you can't always be around for every game."

The show airs on the G4 network at 9pm Eastern Time; over 10 half-hour episodes.

Launched seven years ago, G4 TV is an American cable channel geared toward young male viewers. This is the network's first foray into the world of poker reality television.
