Next Month in Moscow: The Betting Trends Forum 2016Published February 22, 2016 by Lee R
Discussions are going to provide valuable insight to all attendees, no matter what part of the globe they come from.
Next month’s Russia's Betting Trends Forum 2016 is looking more and more fascinating as it approaches.
Set to take place March 17th at Moscow's Korston Club Hotel (15 Kosygin st). The Smile-Expo group sponsors happily invite betting business representatives and Russian Federation authorities of all kind to discuss relevant trends in online gambling. The most appealing trend from the Russian legislative point of view is “interactive bets.” While it is no secret that online providers are looking for increasingly engaging ways to provide wager support, the means by which to implement competitive wager provision in Russia is still being shaped.
Recent Legislative Events
The discussion will be guided by the bill introduced in Russia last summer monitoring the rapid increase in sports events and sports betting advertising. This was followed in the fall by a new initiative from the Ministry of Sports of Russian Federation to extend online bet licenses to the holders of television broadcasting rights to football games.
Russian Topics of Interest
A closer look at the proceedings reveals a diverse range of topics which Russia will specialize in. Russia Betting Trend Forum discussions will provide insight into iGaming from a unique and seldom seen Russian perspective.
One flashpoint topic of workshops includes Player and Betting House: How to Influence Choice through Theme-based Websites. This workshop will be led by bookmakersrating.ru founder and January 2016 Russian Forbes featuree Paruyr Shahbazyan.
Other topics include “Prospects for changes in the current legislation governing betting shops and betting terminals: expediency, implementation and consequences;” “Fantasy sports betting, the next big thing? What will the future bring? Advantages and disadvantages of different platforms;” and “e-sports: when and why it will beat football and hockey?” All workshops will be led by rising Russian iGaming luminaries specializing in the topic areas.
As the multitude of topics comes into focus, is is becoming apparent that attendees to the Russia Betting Forum next month will be pleasantly surprised by all they learn about Russia's dynamic future in iGaming.
