Nexx Edge Casino Shuts Down, Casino Saga RebrandsPublished July 17, 2015 by Amir G
Short lived Nexx Edge Casino shuts down, migrating players to Jetbull Casino; Casino Saga rebrands into Casino Heroes due to trademark woes.
Only several months after it set up shop, Nexx Edge Casino has been shut down. Right of July 6th, players arriving at Nexx Edge Casino were greeted with a message notifying them that the casino is no longer in operation and that all player accounts and funds were transferred to Jetbull Casino.
According to the message, all Nexx Edge players are supposed to receive detailed information from Jetbull on how to use their Nexx Edge account at the new location. Sadly, the short life of Nexx Edge's is not a new phenomenon in the iGaming world, as we have recently seen more online casinos that shut down only months after they launched, and others that shut down immediately without notice. Players running into any problems are encouraged to write the details in the OCR forums.
Casino Saga Rebranding into Casino Heroes
In other casino changes news, Casino Saga is set to change its name to Casino Heroes next month on August 3rd. The name change comes after a request by King, the company that created the popular Facebook and mobile game Candy Crush Saga. In an effort to evade a difficult and long legal battle, Casino Saga has decided to rebrand itself as Casino Heroes. The new name correlates with the "Hero" avatars players are required to choose at the casino.
A message on the casino's landing page assures players that they need not worry about their funds or safety, and that there will be no changes to their accounts – the change is only in the casino's name. Commenting on the agreement, CEO of Casino Saga Magnus Alebo said: "We are pleased to have reached an agreement with King. We have decided to focus on our global expansion and on creating even more excitement for our customers, not spend more time and money on legal discussions."
