NFL Conference Championships: Preview, Odds, And Prediction

The NFL Conference Championships kick-off Sunday at 20:05 GMT and it will be a wild weekend of football.

The NFL Conference games are just about ready to kick-off with the four teams that have survived through to this stage. The San Fransisco 49ers, the Green Bay Packers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tenessee Titans have all made the cut and will go head-to-head, respectively, this Sunday and Monday.

Sunday, Jan. 19 - Chiefs vs. Titans

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tenessee Titans on Sunday Night, and for the Chiefs, it will be a chance at redemption following last years' heartbreaking loss in the AFC Championship game. This year, Patrick Mahomes has a chance to take his team to the Super Bowl if they can get over the leagues' sleeper team, the Titans. After absolutely huge road-wins over the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens, the Titans are now going to see if they can make it to their first-ever Superbowl, but Mahomes and the Chiefs mean business.

Last season, the Chiefs lost to the Patriots in overtime of the AFC Championship and missed out on what would have been their first Super Bowl since back in 1969. This year, they are poised to make the final game and they can thank Patrick Mahomes' leadership and guidance on the field for that. Case and point were how he led the Chiefs out of a 24-point hole last week against the Houston Texans, but, after throwing four touchdowns in the second quarter, and another TD pass, Kansas City rolled to a 51-31 victory.

It wasn't an easy season for the Chiefs after Mahomes fell to injury for three games, and losing to the Titans 35-32 the day of his return, but they managed to last by winning the last six games in-a-row.

This game is prime for punters to put a wager down. At 10Bet Sports, the Titans are once again major underdogs, even after winning both of their previous games from this position. They are listed at 3.75, while the Chiefs, playing at home are at 1.28. Expect the Chiefs to win.

Monday, Jan. 20 - 49ers vs. Packers

This will be the second time that these two teams have met this year, with the first game in Week 12 going to San Fransisco in the most brutal loss of the Packers' season - 37-8. This will be the 69th time that they have faced-off, and the Packers have the advantage of 36-31-1 all-time.

The 49ers beat the Minnesota Vikings in the previous round, led by Jimmy Garoppolo and Tevin Coleman who rushed for 105 yards and two TDs. They were also big on defense with Nick Bosa's six tackles, two sacks, and a pass knockdown.

The Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks last round and all-star QB Aaron Rodgers' 243 passing yards and two TDs were enough to secure a 28-23 win. The dynamic between Rodgers and Running back Aaron Jones has been the offensive driving force this year. Jones has had 21 scrimmage touchdowns, the second-most by a RB in the Packers' history.

At 888Sport, the 49ers are well-ahead of the Packers at 1.29. Green Bay is at 3.65, but, this game could go either way. Rodgers can do anything with the ball in his hand and expect this to be a close one. Take the 49ers.
