NFL Divisional Round: Preview, Prediction, And Odds

Sol FH. - January 10, 2020

The NFL playoffs kick-off this Saturday with the divisional round live at 21:35 GMT, and on Sunday from 20:05 GMT.

The NFL playoff picture is finally clear and we have the eight teams that will play for a chance to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy when all is said and done. After an outstanding regular season and four action-packed wildcard games, the Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, San Fransisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks, and the Green Bay Packers are all that is left.

Let's not wait another minute and get into the action.

Saturday Night

49ers vs. Vikings, Saturday, 21:35 GMT

The 49ers host the Vikings in the first game of the divisional round and this is one of the most anticipated matchups of the first round. The Vikings are in after an OT stunner against the Saints, while the 49ers had a bye, as they had the best record in the NFC this season. The game will be tough for the Vikings but they have all of their most feared weapons back and healthy which could pose a problem for San Fran.

Prediction: As said before the Wildcard game, do not sleep on the Vikings. This is a team that could upset the 49ers easily and although the game will be close, expect Minnesota to cut the dream season that the 49ers have had, short. 10bet Sportsbook likes the 49ers in this game, which is a great time to put a wager on the underdog Vikings at 3.55. The 49ers are at 1.31 to win outright.

Ravens vs. Titans, Saturday night at 1:15 GMT

The Baltimore Ravens are the best team in the NFL right now and they continue to trounce the opposition. The Titans took out the all-time GOAT last week, beating the New England Patriots in a very solid win. That will not happen against the Ravens. Baltimore is having its best year ever and the entire team looks outstanding, even in these late days. Even though the Titans have won games against the Chiefs and the Texans this year, the Ravens are way too strong.

Prediction: Apologies to Titans fans out there but this game is gonna be a post-season blowout with the Ravens winning easily and by double digits. At 888Sport, the odds favor the Ravens at 1.22 and for the Titans at 4.40 for the underdog win.

Sunday Night

Chiefs vs. Texans, Sunday, 20:05 GMT

What a matchup this is gonna be. Two evenly matched teams going head-to-head for a shot at the next round. The Texans will have home-field advantage, which will be much needed as the Chiefs have improved since these two teams met in Week 6, a game that went to the Texans 31-24. Both teams are healthier now, well-rested and ready to leave it all on the field to walk away with the win.

Prediction: The Texans have the edge going into this one after a close win over the Bills in the Wildcard. The Texans should be able to hold out for the win on Sunday night. 10Bet Sports has the Chiefs as big favorites to win outright at 1.23, while Houston is at 4.35.

Seahawks vs. Packers, Sunday, 23:40 GMT

The final game of the first round is between two teams that could easily contend for the title. The Packers are playing well, but, the Seahawks are really playing together well right now.

Prediction: This game is too close to call, either team could win. The Seahawks seem to be playing a bit better lately. At 888Sport, the Packers lead at 1.49, while the Seahawks are close at 2.65.
