NFL Hall of Fame Celebrates New Inductees

For die hard fans of the NFL the long summer can feel like prison time with nothing to do until September when the greats get back on the gridiron.  One of the most looked forward to events of the year is the NFL Hall of Fame ceremony and Hall of Fame Game taking place Saturday and Sunday respectively.  

NFL Legends

It is one of the greatest honors in all of sports.  To be selected as an NFL hall of famer is the dream of all players but the realization of only a few. This year, the committee has selected 7 of the biggest names of all times and each one is as worthy as the next.

Derrick Brooks - One of the greatest defensive players of all time.  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were lucky to have Brooks for so long because he was something extra special since he was drafted in 1995.

Ray Guy - The Raiders' famous punter than brought a new look to kickers in the league.  It is about time that Guy is recognized for his unbelievable achievements after being called as a finalist 7 times 1992 to 2008.

Claude Humphrey - Arguably the only "true" Atlanta Falcon to be inducted to the hall of fame ever.  Humphrey star defender for a team that were basically the best defense according to statistics in modern Football.  Totally deserving, expect to see an emotional speech from Claude.

Walter Jones - The Offensive Line is a war zone and there are few players you'd want to get stuck in the foxhole with, other than this Seattle Seahawks legend.  12 season in the Pacific North West and deserving of being inducted into the class of '14.

Andre Reed - He has recently been quoted in calling Johnny Manziel a "Rookie B**ch" but once anyone completes a career like Reed has, they deserve the right to talk too.  Another excellent addition to the Hall of Fame.

Michael Strahan - He was amazing to watch on the field and has a huge fan base off of it as well.  The famed NY Giants whom set the record for most sacks in one season, Strahan played all of his 15 seasons in NY.

Aeneas Williams - From the field to the church, Aeneas Williams was one of the best corner back's of all time and now preaches his soul to his congregation.
