NFL Monday Night Football: 49ers vs Rams

A wild week 10 in the NFL comes to an end with a big matchup between the 49ers and the Rams at 1:15.

The Los Angeles Rams (7-2) and San Francisco 49ers (3-5) will meet tonight in a matchup between these bitter NFC West rivals. The Rams, who were enjoying a four-game win streak were broken last Sunday night and went down 28-16 to the Tennessee Titans. The 49ers have unfortunately been a losing franchise this season and they also went down last week to the Arizona Cardinals 31-17.

The game is being played at Levi's Stadium, the 49ers' home turf but as is expected, the Rams will also have a strong turnout for their cause.

JaMycal Hasty, the 49ers' backup running back for most of the season, will not be available for the game tonight. Hasty is just one of five 49ers ruled out of the game tonight on the team's official injury report on Saturday. He did not practice this week due to his ankle injury.

Moreover, San Fransisco will be without No. 3 receiver, Mohamed Sanu, defensive lineman Maurice Hurst, cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, and safety Tavon Wilson.

With Hasty out and starter Elijah Mitchell still hurting after an injury to his ribs, that could allow Jeff Wilson Jr. to see his first action of the season.

"I expect Jeff to get some carries and you never go into it saying it'll be 50-50," commented 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan. "Elijah's our starter right now, he's earned that. You open the game up with him, but they both can do some things. And Jeff also can help on third down, which he's always done in the past.
