The Eagles vs. Giants live tonight at 1:15 GMT in the Week 14 finale as two struggling teams go head-to-head.
Week 14 ends tonight with a match between two teams that have not been able to make anything of the season so far. The Eagles are on a three-game losing streak, while the Giants are on an eight-game losing streak. Dismal at best. Tonight though, one of these teams will win, and, it will most-likely be Philadelphia.
The Giants' season is over, as they could not find rhythm or consistency in any game this year. Tonight, instead of facing rookie QB Daniel Jones, the Eagles will face Eli Manning, an old foe that the Birds have had his number in virtually every game between them. Manning has won just one game against the Eagles since 2013, and he is 2-8 against the Eagles over the last ten years. A win tonight would put him one game over .500 for his career, and, he would seriously hurt the Eagles' chances of making the playoffs.
Barkley vs. 4th Best Rush Defense
The one ray of light for the Giants this year has been their Saquon Barkley, and having Eli Manning behind the line instead of Jones could mean that Barkley could finally have a breakout game. The Eagles have the fourth-best rush defense in the NFL. They are allowing 91 rushing yards per game and only 3.99 yards per rush. Barkley may have the skills, strength, and natural ability, but, the Eagles are a defensive machine that will be hard for him to break.
The Giants will have to get to Carson Wentz if they are gonna have any chance at winning this game. If they can slow him down they may have a shot at winning.
