NFL Monday Night Football: Giants vs Lions

A huge battle in the NFC pits the New York Giants vs Detroit Lions, live at 1:35 GMT.

For football lovers, nothing compares to Monday's during the NFL Regular Season. It is the last game of the week and the last taste of NFL action until at least Thursday, and this week, we have one of the most classic rivalries in the league. The New York Giants (0-1) are hosting the Detroit Lions (0-1) at MetLife Stadium to conclude Week 2. There are no teams as evenly matched as this, which will make for some incredible action.

The win/loss record between the Giants and the Lions is 21-21-1! That is as close as it gets and shows just for how long they have been going to war against one another. The Giants have definitely got the advantage over the last few years winning four out of five games. The last time they met was in Week 15 last season, which was in favor of the Giants at 17-6. The Giants are coming off of a Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but this is the home opener and they will be putting everything into getting a win tonight.

Injury Report

WR Odell Beckham Jr. is questionable for the Giants tonight, as he hurt his ankle, but might be good to play. He would be missed and having him on the field could be the difference that the Giants need. OL D.J. Fluker and LB B.J Goodson are also questionable, while LB Keenan Robinson is out after suffering a concussion. For the Lions, the only hole they will need to fill is DE Ezekiel Ansah.

Can the Giants Break 20-Points?

The last time that the NY Giants scored over 20-points was in Week 12 last year against the Browns. Their offense has struggled terribly, and last week against the Cowboys was no different. It seems that they cannot get that spark that they so desperately need, but tonight could be the night that Offensive Coordinator Mike Sullivan leads his team to a big victory.
