NFL Monday Night Football: Jets Vs. PatriotsPublished November 9, 2020 by Sol FH
The Pats visit the Jets tonight at 1:15 GMT and try to get their season back in order, while New York still hasn't won a game.
The Jets (0-8) host the Patriots (2-5) tonight to conclude week 9 of the NFL Regular Season. This week's action has been terrific so far and tonight, two struggling teams will try to get the win. The Patriots have lost 4 games in a row and lost a heartbreaker to the Bills last week. Tonight, they will try to beat the other NY State team and pull to 3-5.
Funny enough, the Jets are also 0-8 against New England since November of 2016. It seems like this trend will continue as the Jets are the worst in the league. Last week's 35-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs was a humiliating performance with a terrible game by Sam Darnold. He passed for a mere 133 yards on 30 attempts. To make matters worse, Darnold will not be playing tonight and backup QB Joe Flacco will get the start.
The sole shred of light for the team was their kicker Sergio Castillo who went 3-for-3 on field goals.
The Patriots will hope for a better performance from Cam Newton and hope that RB Damien Harris has another big game. Last week against the Bills, he ran for a TD and 102 yards on 16 rushes.
The Jets are in dead last place in offensive TDs this season, scoring 7 times all year. Cam Newton has also not had the best season only passing 3 TDs so far, for the lowest grade in the NFL.
If the Patriots have any desire to improve on their record, tonight, they must get a win. The Jets' dismal record is a sure sign that they will be rebuilding in the off-season, as they will not be able to make the playoffs this year.
NFL Monday Night Football Odds and Prediction
The Jets are in need of a miracle to get the win tonight, with the odds stacked against them. bet365 Sports has posted pre-game odds for New York at 4.50, while the Patriots seem like a mortal lock at 1.22.
Cam Newton looks to have a great game so take the Patriots by double digits.
