NFL Monday Night Football Preview: Patriots Vs. Bills
Published December 28, 2020 by Sol FH
The Buffalo Bills look to make it 5 wins-in-a-row against the New England Patriots tonight at 1:15 GMT.
The NFL Playoffs are just around the corner and we have already got a pretty good understanding of how the playoff picture will look. Seven teams have solidified their place in the playoffs already, including tonight's favorite - the Buffalo Bills. The Bills clinched the AFC East last week with a record of 11-3, and they are on a 4-game win streak.
The AFC East has changed a lot this year and the Patriots are feeling the worst of that change. They have not been able to find their form all season and have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the league. Obviously, the loss of Tom Brady has been one of the toughest trades to deal with in the history of the NFL, more so since he is having success in his new home in Tampa Bay (clinched Wild Card).
The Bills are big favorites against the Patriots tonight inside Gillette Stadium, but, this is a place where Buffalo has won only three games since 2000. Buffalo must win to remain the no. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs and they are poised to do so.
Since the last time the Bills played the Patriots in Week 8 - a 24-21 win for the Bills, they have gone 5-1 and have averaged close to 35 points per game in those six games.
For the Patriots, the season has been tough, with Bill Belichick searching for ways to improve his troubled team. Quarterback Cam Newton has had a horrible year with just five touchdown passes with 10 interceptions. To make matter worse, the Patriots have 20 players listed as questionable for this game.
Monday Night Football Odds
