NFL Monday Night Football Preview: Steelers vs. Dolphins

Live, tonight at 00:15 GMT, it's the Week 8 edition of Monday Night Football between the Steelers and the Dolphins.

To be very honest, almost any other two teams in the NFL would be a better choice for the Monday Night game. Both the Steelers and the Dolphins are off to a terrible start. The Steelers are 2-4, while the Dolphins are 0-6, and it doesn't seem like either team will be making very big moves this season.

Pittsburgh is refreshed, coming off of a bye in Week 7 and a big road victory against the Los Angeles Rams the week prior. They are definitely the favorites to beat the Dolphins tonight at home in Pittsburgh. Miami does not look good at all. There was a very small sign of offensive life, last week against the Bills, as Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 282 yards, a TD, and had a rushing TD in the losing performance.

The Steelers have some good news in the return of Mason Rudolph, back after concussion protocol. He was hammered by a tough hit at the end of the overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5. Rudolph had a decent season going with 646 yards and seven touchdowns before taking the blow. He will be able to show off his strong arm against a very weak Miami defense that has allowed on average 35.2 points per game.

The history between these two teams lasts includes 27 games, 14 won by the Steelers and 13 won by the Dolphins. The last time that they met was back in 2017 in the AFC Wildcard game wherein the Steelers won 30-12. There may be new signs of life in Miamis' defense and they will need to get the job done against Rudolph.
