NFL Monday Night Preseason Football
Published August 19, 2019 by Sol FH
The third week of NFL preseason football comes to an end with the Monday Night matchup, tonight at 1:00 GMT.
It is time for Monday Night Football, which means that all eyes will be on the Broncos vs. 49ers tonight at Mile High Stadium to catch the Broncos, as they take on the visiting 49ers of San Fransisco. In the first game of the 2019 preseason, the Broncos got off to a shaky start but beat the Atlanta Falcons 14-10. After a loss last week to the Seahawks, Denver looks to bounce back with our Monday Night game against the 49ers.
The 49ers are still batting 1.000, with a big win last week against the Dallas Cowboys - 17-9. C.J Beathard had a solid game with 141 passing yards on 13/17 attempts with 1TD. Nick Mullens went 11/17 with 105 passing yards and a TD. They both had an interception but looked ready to lead the 49ers offense this season. The big story will be Jimmy Garoppolo getting his start for the season and what that will look like and how much he will play before the beginning of the regular season.
General Manager of the 49ers organization, John Lynch related about Garoppolo, who is coming off knee surgery, “He’s had a really good camp, I’m hesitant and reluctant to say it, but his recovery from his knee has been like flawless… That’s allowed him to focus on what he needs to do, and that’s play.”
The Broncos are coming off a loss to the Seattle Seahawks - 22-14 last week. Drew Lock saw the most play going 17-28 for 180 yards in the air and 1 TD. Kevin Hogan and Joe Flacco were also used in the mix, but Lock is looking the strongest so far. The Broncos' Defensive Line were animals throughout the week at practice, and it is not known how that will play against the 49ers' Offensive Line and blockers, but, it should make for a great game.
