NFL Preseason: Final Week Before Regular Season Kickoff

The NFL preseason enters into its final week of action, and there are 16 games with competitive odds all weekend.

The NFL preseason has been fun to watch, but we are just a couple of weeks away from the big show. The start of the regular season is set to kickoff on Friday, the 7th of September, but before that, we have got some important Week 5 preseason action, with hundreds of odds and wagering markets to choose from. This week, beginning on Friday Night, we will be able to catch 16 games across the NFL, including some big-ticket matchups.

Expect the teams to roll out many of their rookie hopefuls and players trying to make the final cut.

Eagles vs. Jets

On Friday at 00:00 GMT, the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field. It has been a very rough preseason for the Eagles having lost three games to the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, and the Cleveland Browns. In fact, the Browns beat the Eagles last week by a weak 5-0.

The Eagles hope to shake off the cobwebs and be ready to go on September 7th, as they open the regular season against the Atlanta Falcons, but first, they must get past the Jets, who have only won 1 of 3 so far this preseason. Bet365 Sports has posted two markets to choose from prior to the game including Point Spread -3.5 (1.86) for the Jets and +3.5 (1.95) for the Eagles. There is also Over/Under of 36.0 and 1.90 for both teams.

Giants vs. Patriots

It will be a regular affair as the New England Patriots take on the New York Giants, It will be the 28th time that the two have met in the preseason, and it's the 14th straight year in the preseason finale. The game will kick off with the Eagles and Jets at 00:00 GMT, at MetLife Stadium. The Patriots are not actually favored to win this game, but anytime there is a bet against Brady and Co., it's a bet one should seriously consider. The Patriots will be making final preparations to get into the swing of things and take the team as far as they can again this year. Usually, that means making it to the Super Bowl.

Betfair Sports has a Money Line open for all interested punters in favor of the Giants at 1.71, and 2.18 for the Pats.

Titans vs. Vikings

Another hopeful for a Super Bowl run is the Minnesota Vikings. They have seen success over the last few years and hope to have strengthened the spots that were necessary to fix in order to get the job done better this season. The game gets underway on Friday at 1:00 GMT from Nissan Stadium in Nashville Tennessee. The Vikings are 2-1 in the preseason and have been playing incredibly well so expect a big win over the 0-3 Titans.

We round out the odds with numbers from 888 Sport who have posted in favor of the Titans at 1.85 and 1.98 for the Vikings.

Any way you look at it, the NFL regular season ready to begin is exciting, and Sunday's finally have meaning again for millions across the US.
