NFL Sunday Night Football: Griffin Back in Action

The Colts and the Redskins go heads to head tonight in Week 13 NFL action at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Colts currently sit in first place in the AFC South with a record of 7-4, but seeking a win to ensure their outright lead over the division and to secure their post-season campaign.

For the Redskins, it has been the kind of season that they will not want to remember. Their star Quarterback, Robert Griffin III went down at the beginning of the season with a serious injury, which left the team with a big hole at the QB position. They are now at a dismal 3-8, and sit in last spot in the NFC East.

Set to return to the gridiron

Robert Griffin III has been out of commission for too long and that is the reason that the Skins are in such bad shape this year. He has made a few appearances, which on a whole, have been dreadful, especially his horrendous performance against the 49ers last week.  He threw 11-19 totaling 106 yards, which may be ok for high school football, but has no place in the NFL. If RG3 cannot get back on track, he could be benched for the remainder of the season.

Andrew Luck, the QB for the Colts is playing better than anyone could’ve hoped for a young starter and has proved he could be a big name in coming years. He has a QB rating of 99.7 and has thrown 3,641 yards so far this year; almost more than his entire season totals from last season.
