NFL Sunday Night Football

Sol FH. - December 19, 2021

Don't miss out on the NFL Week 15 action with a wild weekend of NFL action across the US, planned from today at 18:00GMT.

The NFL 2021 regular season is in the home stretch and there are just four weeks remaining. Week 15 will give us a much clearer picture of what we can expect from this years’ playoffs and there are some crucial matchups over the weekend. Seven teams have an opportunity to make it to the postseason after this weekend and each one will be playing as if their lives depend on it. Of course, you've clicked to get an inside look at some of the teams that have the best chance of winning and to learn about the odds on offer for each match.

When the New England Patriots lost yesterday, it opened the AFC playoff race. After an amazing seven-game winning streak, the Patriots lost to the Indianapolis Colts 27-17, which means that either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Tennessee Titans will win the conference. The Chiefs are currently in the top spot but if the Titans beat the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight, they will be the AFC conference leaders.

AFC - In The Hunt

Cleveland Browns
The Browns were able to defeat the Baltimore Ravens last week to take the lead in the AFC North. This means that there is no chance of a head-to-head tiebreaker if the AFC North titles were dependant on that. The Browns are still in the mix in the divisional and the wild-card mix and next, they will face the Raiders at home. Odds for the Browns are at 1.64 at bet365 Sports, while the Raiders are at 2.35.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Denver Broncos
The Bengals' playoff chances are now slim to none, as they lost in consecutive weeks to the Chargers and then to the 49ers. They are facing the Denver Broncos, another contending team, on Sunday. The Broncos have now won 4 of 6 and have a chance to leapfrog yet another playoff contender if they beat the Bengals tonight. The odds are way in favor of the Broncos at 1.66, while the Bengals are at 2.30.

The Pittsburgh Steelers
If the Steelers are to make it into the off-season they will need to do it by getting through one of the toughest end-of-the-year schedules in the league, with games against the Titans, Chiefs, Browns, and Ravens ahead of them. The Steelers will be going up against the Titans tonight and they are the favorites to win with bet365 Sports posting pre-game odds at 1.80. The Titans are at 2.05 for the win.

NFC - In the Hunt

The Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings were bad, then good, then bad again, and then good again. Hopefully, Monday Nights’ game against the Bears should be a great indicator of how the Vikings are going to end their season. The Vikings are in the odds-lead at 1.36. The Bears are well-behind at 3.25.

Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are still in the playoff race and have only 3 teams to face in the last 4 weeks of action. How? Well, they face Washington, twice. This will be the best opportunity for the Eagles to make up some ground and get their ticket to the playoff show.

Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are still trying to work things out in Arthur Smiths’ first year as their head coach. They will have a very tough time of reaching the playoffs with the 49ers, Bills, and Saints ahead in their schedule.

New Orleans Saints
The Saints have a really good shot of making the jump to the off-season with only one game remaining against a team with a winning record. The Saints haven’t beaten any team since the start of November (Jets) and will have a very difficult time tonight against the Buccaneers. The consensus and odds are all in favor of the Brady Bunch destroying the Saints but will New Orleans be able to hold on to its dream of the playoffs. At bet365 Sports, the Bucs are the big favorites at 1.18 and the Saints are at 5.25.

All of the odds at the bookmaker mentioned above were accurate at the time of writing, on December 19 at 13:00 GMT.
