NFL Thursday Night: Live bet365 Markets

Tom Brady and the Patriots host the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium in front of what should be a full house. The Pats are on top of the AFC East at 4-2, winning their last two games, while the Jets are having a terrible season so far, sitting in last place in the same division at 1-5. Tonight should be a great game, as these teams have a rivalry, which sports fans compare to the Yankees/Red Sox.

Since the 1960s, the Jets and the Patriots have played each other more than just a few times. In fact, they have faced each other 113 times and the Patriots only lead 58-54, including regular and post season.

Talk about the Patriots and you are basically talking about Tom Brady. The QB sensation has already thrown ten touchdowns, 1,444 yards and only two interceptions on the season and they are a serious threat for the post-season.  The Patriots have scored 160 points over the first six weeks of the regular season and are dangerous from both long and short range.

The Jets go into Week 7 with one of the worst record in the NFL and don't really have a chance to beat the Patriots tonight. That being said, the Jets rushing game is a bit better than the Patriot's is at 121.2 yards per game. They have had serious trouble finding the end zone this season and are in third to last position for points scored at a meager 96.

The Bottom Line

The Patriots have not lost at home since 2012.  Although the Jets looked like they could have tied the game last week against the Broncos, they have little chance at making this a close game. Expect the Patriots to handle the Jets easily and my prediction is a blowout. Patriots 38 Jets 10.
