NFL Thursday Night: Patriots Vs. Rams
Published December 10, 2020 by Sol FH
After destroying the Chargers last week, the Patriots play the Rams tonight at 1:20 GMT.
The Patriots will be at SoFi Stadium tonight to take on the Los Angeles Rams to kick-off Week 14 in the NFL. Both teams won last week with the Rams beating the St. Louis Cardinals 38-28 to rise to 8-4, while the Patriots absolutely destroyed the San Diego Chargers 45-0. The trouble with a big game like New England had last week is that it came at the expense of healthy players. Now, the Patriots have listed 14 of its players on the 'questionable' list, including QB Cam Newton.
Injury Report
That's right, 14 players are listed as questionable for the Patriots tonight. The most significant is definitely their all-star QB Cam Newton, who has a sore abdomen and may not be able to play. In addition to Newton, RB J.J. Taylor (quadriceps), WR Matthew Slater (knee), FB Jakob Johnson (knee), TE Ryan Izzo (hamstring/hand/neck), G Shaq Mason (calf), DT Lawrence Guy (shoulder), DT Adam Butler (shoulder), DT Byron Cowart (back), LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (groin), CB J.C. Jackson (hip/knee), CB Jonathan Jones (neck), S Kyle Dugger (toe), and K Nick Folk (back).
That is a hefty list going into Week 14 against a healthy Rams team that is currently leading the NFC West. In contrast, the Rams only have Kicker Matt Gay (Shoulder) listed as questionable.
The Patriots are at the edge of playoff contention in the AFC at 6-6. It seems that they have started to comeback winning 4 of their last 5 games, but, will the injuries be too much to deal with tonight?
