NFL Week 9: Bears vs. ChargersPublished November 9, 2015 by Sol FH
Chicago Bears vs San Diego Chargers to end a wild week of NFL Football live at 1:30 GMT.
Something needs to change for both of these teams. The Bears (2-5), in third place in the NFC North behind the Packers and the Vikings are doing a bit better than the AFC West last place Chargers (2-6). The Chargers come into tonight’s game after losing four straight games, including a very hard fought loss last week to the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens needed a field goal to win as time ran out, leaving the Chargers in shock after losing 29-26.
The Bears haven’t won since week 5, including a loss to the one-win Detroit Lions and a loss last week to the Vikings. This will be the third time that the Bears and Chargers will have met in the regular season over the last decade and in the previous two games, each team has a win.
Both teams have experienced a number of key injuries this season, but none as difficult to deal with, as is Keenen Allen’s season-ending lacerated kidney injury suffered last week. Allen was en route to a pro-bowl season having 67 receptions for 725 yards.
Tourek Williams and Branden Oliver have also been placed on the season-ending injury list after Oliver’s toe and Williams’ foot were injured and they won’t be able to make it back to the active roster this season.
This game should have some high intensity, as both teams are trying to salvage their season at the half-way point. The loser tonight will definitely be ousted from post-season play, while the winner might be able to crawl into a wild card spot, however unlikely. It will be a tight match and the prediction is that the Chargers will beat the Bears 28-20.
