Hammond has excellent stats at 22-1-4 and a 1.84 goals against record, but with the talent that Washington will have on the ice tonight, he needs to be amazing.

The Capitols are 11-3-1 at home this season, which is the reason they are atop the Eastern Conference. Coach Barry Trotz is enjoying watching the younger part of his roster develop under stars like Ovechkin and co. They were able to totally shut down Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby on Monday Night, which is a feat in itself considering.
