NHL Playoffs: Capitals vs Penguins Live from Pittsburgh

The Penguins have a chance to knock out the best team of the regular season with a win tonight at 1:00 GMT.

It is down to a must win situation for the Washington Capitals, as they head into Game 6 of their best-of-seven series with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Now 3-2, the Pens have a chance to move a step closer to the Stanley Cup Finals, with arguably the biggest roadblock of the playoffs (Capitals) out of the way.

The Capitals switched things around in Game 5 and it seemed to work. Putting all star Alex Ovechkin on a line without Nickolas Backstrom and the Russian forward put in a goal and had one assist. The star players have been fairly dormant in these playoffs so far, but after Saturday night, the Capitals feel like they can come back from being down 1-3 and reclaim the series in their favor.

The Penguins shocked their critics by winning three games against the Capitals. Everyone thought this would be a blowout by Washington but that has not been the case. They now have home-ice advantage again and that could be the ticket to success. The Penguins need to see Sidney Crosby donating more to the team and get back to the NHL All Star that he was in previous years. They tried separating Crosby and right wing Patric Hornqvist in the last game, but that did not work as they thought it would. "You have to leave that behind you," Hornqvist related. "It's a new day tomorrow and a new game, a new opportunity. We have to take that one."
