NHL Playoffs: Stars Seek Knockout Punch Vs. Flames

Dallas and Calgary go at it in their Game 6 battle tonight at 3:30 GMT at Rogers Place.
The Calgary Flames will host the Dallas Stars tonight in a last-ditch effort to tie up their best-of-seven series. The Stars currently lead 3-2 after taking Game 5, 2-1, on a goal in the 3rd period after just a minute of play by John Klingberg assisted by Mattias Janmark. The Flames fought hard but couldn't get an equalizer by the end of regulation.
Tonight, Calgary will be fighting for its life in an attempt to even things up and force a Game 7. It's Do or Done time and the Flames will be throwing everything they have at Dallas.
Milan Lucic, longtime Flames forward commented, "Just making sure that we're ready to play at puck drop. We can't change anything up until this point, other than what we can control with what's ahead of us. All our focus, all our energy has to go into what we need to do to give ourselves a chance to win on Thursday night. We can't overthink the result, either. If we're sitting in our hotel rooms or change room before we go out there thinking, 'We've got to win, we've got to win, we've got to win,' that's when you don't leave it out there. It's about the process and thinking about doing the things you need to do to get the win. That's when you come out on top."
The Flames had the chance to go up 3-1, only to give up a last-second goal in regulation and then losing in overtime.
The Stars were struggling at the beginning of the COVID restart, but have made things work and now are poised to make it to the second round of the playoffs, for the second year straight.
Dallas forward Andrew Cogliano commented, "You don't want to be down 3-2, so I think we're in the right spot. We have guys in our room that have been there before and know what it takes, and we have young guys that are learning as well."
