NHL: Wild and Blackhawks for the Biggest Game of the Year for These Teams

The first place Wild try to hold on against the second place Blackhawks in the Central Division game of the season live at 1:00 GMT.

As the race for the playoffs continues, few are more exciting that what is going on in the Western Conference Central Division. The Chicago Blackhawks have been on a steady chase after the Minnesota Wild, but haven't managed to take over top spot. The Wild have 75 points going into tonight's game, while the Hawks have 69, but a win would help them get that much closer with exactly two months left in the regular season. This could be a good window into the playoff pictures, as these teams will surely both make the cut.

Both the Wild and the Blackhawks are on two-game winning streaks and are both able to beat any team in the NHL. Jam-packed with talent on all lines, tonight will be an action-packed offensive game, as both set to make a statement. The Blackhawks will have a harder time winning tonight, as Saint Paul's Xcel Energy Center is a tough venue to win at this season and only 6 teams have been able to do so. The Hawks 14-10-1 away record is good, but not great and playing a team like the Wild who are 7-3 in their last 10 will be an uphill battle, but not an impossible one.

The Blackhawks know just how important a win will be tonight and they will be giving everything they have against the Wild. "As of now it's our biggest game of the year," related Blackhawk's winger Patrick Kane . "A Dangerous team. If you look at the depth of their lineup, it's not like they have one or two superstars that are scoring all their goals. They have three, even four lines that can score."
