Casual Gaming is bringing its unique conference format to the world, with the Asia version a resounding success.

The Post-Conference Report indicates that the 40th version of Casual Connect Asia 2017 came off as positively glowing.   

Three Days of Networking

Featuring over 120 speakers, non-stop networking and Indie Prize Singapore Winners the three-day international video game industry event hosted by Casual Games Association (CGA) was held at the Singapore Hard Rock Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa.

Over One Thousand Experts

From May 16-18th, over 1,200 industry experts gathered to discuss the hottest trends of the video game industry and network with global business partners, enjoying a broad variety of talks and panels in a full seven tracks of Industry Insights, Growth, Design and Development, Market Navigation, Kids and Family, Social Gaming and Global and Emerging Markets.

Prominent Organisational Representatives

Leading organisational representatives were on-hand to present expertise from leading companies such as Ubisoft, Kamagames, MyTona, Gravity, Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon Asia, Google Play, and YouTube.

Paleeva’s Pride

Casual Connect Content Development Manager Sasha Paleeva emphasised the “casual but professional setting for game industry leaders to meet and discuss topics that matter,” while “looking forward to hosting Casual Connect Asia in Hong Kong in 2018” and planning to rotate future events “to ensure they are even more accessible for developers everywhere.”

Indie Prize Program

The CGA-funded international 18th annual Indie Prize scholarship program provided independent developers with a platform for showcasing the new games they developed in a competitive format providing awards to a diverse global array of winners in ten categories of excellence.

Best Kids and Family Game -​ She and The Light Bearer by Mojiken (Indonesia)

Best Mobile Game ​- Sara Is Missing by Kaigan Games (Malaysia)

Best VR Game​ – The Wizards by Carbon Studio (Poland)

Most Innovative Game​ – Stifled by Gattai Games (Singapore)

Best in Show: Audience Choice​ - Dragon Up: Match 2 Hatch by East Side Games

Conference Series Overview
