Odds for England Path thru Euro Qualifiers

England is heavily backed to go through its entire Euro 2012 qualifying game without dropping a point, with British bookmaker William Hill offering 3/1 odds on the team winning all 10 games.

It will be no easy task, as England have another eight matches to complete against Group G opponents, Montenegro, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Wales, beginning with Tuesday night's clash against Montenegro at Wembley Stadium.

Not surprisingly, England is 1/4 to win that clash, with Montenegro 14/1 to win and a draw paying 4/1.

Despite the team's easy path to Euro 2012, to be held in Poland and Ukraine next July, England remains only fourth in overall betting for the tournament at 8/1, behind reigning World and European champion Spain, 7/2, Germany, 4/1, and the Netherlands, 13/2.

Tuesday night sees several other big clashes as it becomes more clear which teams are heading for Euro 2012 and which teams are likely to miss out.

Scotland, desperately needing a win to keep in touch in Group I, is an unlikely 9/1 to win its home fixture against Spain, which is 4/11 to win. The draw is paying 10/3.

In the tightest match of the round, Slovakia starts a slight 11/8 favorite to beat Ireland, 11/5. The two teams are currently in a three-way arm wrestle with Russia for the top of Group B, with all teams on six points after three matches.
