Some of the biggest names in the Poker world are advocating for Online Poker Rooms and Antonio Esfandiari is leading the pack.
Online Poker is becoming a day-to-day discussion piece in the US and star poker player Antonio Esfandiari shows how online poker is actually creating new jobs.
Land-based casinos have been careful to get behind the online poker trend that has taken over water cooler talks around the US because of the potential job losses that might come with legalizing online poker rooms on a national scale in the USA.
On a break from the 44th annual WSOP, 3-time bracelet winner Esfandiari is quoted as saying, "I believe online poker creates jobs and it gives people a bigger marketplace. You can play in the comfort of your own home when you're chilling out with your family or you can go down to the casino when you want to do that. It's not really taking anything away."
Since Nevada has legalized online poker rooms, online operators like William Hill Poker, Poker Time, PokerStars and other internationally acclaimed poker rooms have been eyeing their options of bringing their first-class services to the US. Esfandiari also estimates that there have already been 70 new jobs created since Ultimate Poker recently launched in Nevada. He adds, "You're talking about a game of skill. I don't understand how people that promote slot machines could say that online poker creates degenerate gamblers. I don't get it."
