Online Poker Players Compete for Spots at WSOP

There is still plenty of time for online poker players to score a seat to the 2013 World Series of Poker and to compete for a $222 million prize pool.

As usual, the highlight will be the Main Event beginning on July 6 and culminating in the November Nine final table on November 4. Another great feature is WSOP's involvement with charity: two events will be held in which all funds go to the One Drop Foundation for providing safe water supplies in third-world countries.

There are 62 bracelet events in total being held at the Vegas Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. The action kicked off with the traditional opening $500 Casino Employees No Limit Hold'em event, and will continue throughout the next six weeks with a number of events that are open to online poker players.

Win Entry with 888poker

The action may have already begun in Las Vegas, but online poker players have until June 23 to win entry to the 2013 WSOP thanks to 888poker. Online poker players Jesse Sylvia and Russell Thomas qualified through the site last year and ended up being WSOP 2012 runner-ups.
