OpenBet, Ladbrokes Extend Betting Agreement

One of the oldest partnerships in online gambling will continue, after Ladbrokes and OpenBet agreed to extend their 15-year relationship until 2016.

Under the new agreement, OpenBet will continue to provide the technology behind Ladbrokes online sportsbook and games products. OpenBet has been the software provider behind the Ladbrokes brand since it opened its doors in the early days of Internet betting in the 1990s.

Ladbrokes will continue to receive the full benefit of OpenBet's roadmap of technology developments, and will have access to the latest and best in world-class games content available from OpenBet's gaming platform.

Both Sides Pleased

Ladbrokes CEO Richard Glynn was pleased with the signing, saying that the decision "offers revenue opportunities to both parties and enhances all of Ladbrokes' existing and future product and technology partnerships. He noted that the two have been working together since 1998.

Likewise, OpenBet CEO Jeremy Thompson-Hill said that the most satisfying element of this new deal is that "Ladbrokes has been one of the cornerstone clients for OpenBet right from the start of our company's history." He said the new extension was good for both parties and "ultimately good for customers."
