Scandinavian operator goes live with MPN downloadable software
Paf, the online gaming operator based out of Finland's Aland Islands, is the first to go live with Microgaming Poker Network's downloadable Mac OS software, the two companies have announced.
Mac Client
The new client is compatible with Mac operating systems and runs via the Adobe Air framework. It has the same functionality as MPN's existing instant play client, allowing users to take part in all the usual Hold'em cash games, Sit n' Go's and scheduled tournaments, plus added exclusive benefits.
According to Microgaming, this new Mac client is just one of a suite of new software platforms that have been designed to ensure all player tastes are catered to. MPN also offers a downloadable PC client, a web-based Flash client and an advanced HTML 5 platform for mobile devices.
Meeting Customer Needs
Herbert Paradis, Paf Head of Poker, said his company was delighted to be the first MPN operator to go live with the Mac-compatible download software: "We know that our players who have Apple devices have been waiting for a downloadable client for some time...and now we are better able to meet our customers' needs."
Lydia Melton, Microgaming Head of Network Games, chipped in: "Mac users are an important segment, but for years operators have been turning them away because they haven't had dedicated software...We are excited to see the uptake from players."
