Patriots vs. Bills - Monday Night Football Preview
Published October 29, 2018 by Sol FH
Can the Bills stop the steaming Patriots and claw back at their season with a win tonight at 00:15 GMT.
It's a game that the Bills may be dreading to play, but, they need to get a win to turn their season around. Buffalo is 2-5, and are in last place in the AFC East. Last week's crushing loss to the Colts was no help to their collective self-esteem, and they are underdogs to win tonight.
The Patriots are on the other side of things with a record of 5-2 and on a four-game win streak. Tom Brady has totally taken over yet again and is taking steps to secure yet another winning season and a playoff berth. Supported by an excellent offensive line that has really given the aging Brady more time in the backfield, the Patriots are their usual selves and will most-likely win another one in Week 8.
The Bills are at home tonight, and their fans are some of the rowdiest in the game. Think about someone jumping off a van into a table while holding a Pabst Blue Ribbon and that pretty much sums it up. In fact, the home advantage is really the only thing that the Bills have going for them tonight. After a 37-5 routing by the Colts last week in which Bills' QB Derek Anderson went 20-31 for 175 yards with three interceptions.
The Bills' defense should be preparing for the worst. The Patriots have averaged 39.2 points over their four-game win streak. Tom Brady relates, “I know we’ve had success, but I think it’s because we’ve never thought, ‘Oh, man, this one’s going to be easy. We should just win this one. They’re all tough, and these guys play as hard as anybody we face. It always seems to come down to some big momentum play at some point.”
Prediction and Odds
This game will be won by the Patriots and a good score to bet on would be 35-16. bet365 Sports sings a similar song with the Bills way back at 8.00. They have the Pats at 1.090, so, one of the most lopsided games in recent history.
