Penguins Lead Stanley Cup Betting

The National Hockey League playoffs begin on April 30, and despite the shorter regular season that preceded it, there is just as much interest as ever in all the Stanley Cup online betting options.

It took only three-and-a-half months and 48 games each to arrive at this stage, but as is the case every year the playoffs will feature the best 16 teams in the league. The Chicago Blackhawks topped the Western Conference with 77 points, while the Pittsburgh Penguins led the East with 72.

This year the playoffs begin April 30, and finish no later than the latest possible Stanley Cup Finals game 7 date of June 28. This is the first time since 1996 that each of the original six teams is in the playoffs, and also marks the first time in nine seasons that the Toronto Maple Leafs feature in the post-season.
