Woods had to withdraw from the event after experiencing back pain. Woods is only 38 years old and if his health allows he still has many years ahead of him, but it has been six long years since his last major championship and some are already proclaiming "the end" of the Tiger era and the beginning of the McIlroy era.

Rory McIlroy Top Favorite

The world's No. 1 ranked golfer Rory McIlroy is the top favorite to win the championship after taking the British Open and the WGB Firestone in a storm. The 25 year old Northern Irishman looks to be in great condition after these back to back wins and there's already talk about which records he will break. Eighteen-time major champion Jack Nicklaus fell in love with McIlroy, saying that he has a potential to win anything between 15 and 20 majors.
