American poker professional Phil Hellmuth, the holder of 11 World Series of Poker bracelets, can now lay claim to a less coveted title - that of world's most hated poker player.
Hellmuth, 46, topped a poll of players fans would most want to kill, conducted on Twitter by colorful poker legend Doyle "Dolly" Brunson of Doyles Room.
1994 World Series of Poker champ Russ Hamilton finished second in the poll, ahead of Aussie Tony G.
Hellmuth is known for his outspokenness at the table, best exemplified by an outburst during the Main Event at the 2005 World Series of Poker, in which he trash-talked an opponent who put all his money in a pot preflop by telling his he wasn't able to spell the world "poker."
It was Hellmuth who ended up with egg on his face on that occasion after his opponent hit a jack on the river to defeat Hellmuth's ace and king with his own jack and king.
On the positive side, Phil Laak topped a poll asking fans to nominate which player they would most like to hang out with. He was followed by Gavin Smith and the ever-popular Daniel Negreanu.
