Play’n GO appears to have studied astrophysics for the company’s next slot release, which is the brand-new Diamond Vortex. The imaginative creation is inspired by wormholes and has been designed to reflect their circular structure.
Wormhole Design
Operating with stakes of €0.20 up to €100, Diamond Vortex is mobile-compatible and engineered with seven reels. Of additional interest are the circles laid over the reels, as these can be rotated to allow players to form winning clusters of six or more Space Crystals.
Reels one and seven are comprised of four symbols, two and six consist of five, and three and five have six. The central reel can also display six symbols, though serves a special function as the very centre of the wormhole. Potentially, there can be up to 37 symbols contributing to the gameplay.
Zones & Spots
The colourful rings are defined as Zones and can trigger special features if an important symbol lands in the area. Following a win, the bright Spots will shift within their respective rings. Without a chain of winnings, the spots will return to their home positions at the bottom of the screen.
The purpose of Spots is to move them to their Zone at the top of the slot interface. When a Spot reaches a Zone, this enables the Transform feature, causing all symbols in the ring to randomly convert and become the same. All three Spots can be activated at once for a full screen of matching symbols.
Wilds & Spins
The centre of the wormhole is a black hole that’s defined as the Core Wild. Ultimately, this serves a function by drawing Sticky Wilds towards the centre. For every Sticky Wild consumed, the Core Wild receives a 1x multiplier up to a maximum of 20x.
Bonus symbols can be moved into Zones and each time can deliver five free spins to the player. The Core Wild and Spot positions can combine to pay-out 5,000x times the bet while free spins remain activated.
