The inaugural eGR Italy Awards saw Playtech being announced as “Software Supplier of the Year” for 2014 in a glitzy ceremony hosted in Rome.
Playtech has emerged from the eGR Italy Awards with yet another honour to add to its glittering list of previous accolades. Hosted in Rome, the event saw the global provider of digital gaming software win the award for “Software Supplier of the Year”. The event was the first of its kind and Playtech already has a positive memory of the occasion.
Tough Competition Fought Off
Specialising in the development and delivery of multi-channel gaming software, Playtech fought off tough competition from its international rivals in winning the prize. Key to being named winners was the company’s success in maintaining and developing a strong presence in Italy’s regulated European market.
Plans for Future Growth
The current CEO of Playtech, Mor Weizer, was understandably pleased to win the award. Continuing with his post-win statement, he outlined that the global developer is going to continue building its presence in Italy, with new software products planned for launch in the future.
First Entered Italy in 2007
This is a significant milestone in what has been a highly successful venture for Playtech, having first entered the Italian market after it was regulated in 2007. Playtech’s ability to deliver cutting-edge gaming software in the form of video slots, casino games, bingo, poker, mobile, and live dealer games has been pivotal in that success, with the developer offering a solution for every major area.
Recent Agreements with Strategic Partners
As for recent strategic developments, the company reached an exclusive five-year deal with RCS Media Group to develop an online sports betting platform. Another important development was the July decision to create a unified online bingo network in which EuroBet, Snai, Sisal, and William Hill will all be brought together for Italian players to access. The final development to report is the acquisition of Aristocrat Lotteries, a provider of digital gaming solutions for interactive gaming terminals.
