Instead of the 30 million U.S. dollars that Robinson would have made if he'd sold his five percent shares in the software company today, he only made a small 3.9 million in 2002.
However Robinson is keen to rekindle his involvement in the industry. Recently the businessman has purchased shares in Greece's Loutraki Casino and has expressed interest in a deal with a little known Cyprus-based online gaming software firm to start a new group under the Miloumor trademark. The new gaming venture will focus on Central and Eastern Europe and will be powered by the Cypriot online gaming software.
Meanwhile, Playtech is planning for its IPO on the London Stock Exchange. Industry analysts are predicting the games software developer's floatation will surpass even that of PartyGaming. Figures ranging between 800 to 950 million U.S. dollars have been quoted in relation to the company's valuation.
