iGaming giants Playtech have been approved to open an online casino in New Jersey.
Playtech, the iGaming solutions giant has secured approval to open a new online casino offering in the State of New Jersey. The approval was given by the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) and includes a number of online casino products that Playtech is known for.
This will be a collaboration with bet365 and Hard Rock Atlantic City, as the approval that Playtech has received is a transactional waiver to roll out their products on those platforms. Playtech expects to close deals with additional partners and roll their products out to an even larger audience in the near future.
Ever since online gambling was legalized in New Jersey many software developers have tried to break into the huge market. This is a major milestone for Playtech and they can now look to expanding past NJ and into new regulated markets throughout the US.
Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer related, “We are delighted to have met the stringent regulatory requirements of the NJDGE and to be launching in New Jersey with our long-standing strategic partner bet365,” Weizer said. “The US is a highly strategic market for Playtech and we see significant demand for the full breadth of our product offering.”
Weizer added that Playtech will be adding its sports gambling platform and live casino products in New Jersey and other jurisdictions in the US, following receiving a license.
“This is the first step for Playtech in the US and we are very excited about the long-term opportunity,” Weizer continued.
Playtech makes some of the most popular iGaming solutions in the world and is one of the largest software providers. Their move into the US will give Americans access to one of the biggest gaming libraries in the world, along with top sports gambling solutions and a holistic live dealer casino.
