Playtech Introduces Live Dealer Games to Spain

Playtech, one of the world's largest developers and manufacturers of online gambling software, has expanded its presence in the Spanish market through a partnership that will see it deliver live games.

Live Casino Comes to Spain

Playtech last week signed a fresh agreement with Casino Gran Madrid, Spain's largest land-based casino. Under the deal, Playtech will provide its Live Gaming Product to the Spanish online gambling community through all of its license holders in the newly regulated market.

Casino Gran Madrid will provide the studio, which will be fitted with roulette tables, HD broadcasting cameras, and Spanish dealers, who will interact live with online players through real time chat. There will also be branded tables for the various Playtech licensees, both private and shared.

Playtech's Spanish Move

Playtech has been one of the busiest software developers in Spain since the country opened up its gambling market to offshore operators last year. The company powers a number of local license holders in the areas of casino games, poker and related online gaming activities.

Just last week, Betfair's Playtech-powered Spanish online poker went live, four months after the two signed a deal in the wake of receiving licence approval. Spaniards can access Betfair's iPoker operating through a specially dedicated .es site.
