Playtech Leaves Finland & the Netherlands

Playtech no longer offering gaming for Finnish and Dutch online casinos.

Playtech is backing the play of its subsidiary, Euro Partners Casinos, which, effective November 14, 2013 has decided to withdraw from the Finnish and Dutch markets. Those countries will be part of the ominously named Excluded Territories list.

That means that no citizens of those countries will be able to play at the company's online casinos. The reason for the decision to exclude was not announced and it remains largely speculative.

The online casinos involved include Bellini Casino, Vegas Red Casino, British-based Europa Casino, and Casino Tropez. Although nothing official has been announced, unofficial speculation is that the withdrawal is due to conflicts with regulations in those countries.

No New Players Accepted

The casinos mentioned are no longer accepting new players from the aforementioned nations (Finland and the Netherlands), and existing players will not be able to make deposits. They will be allowed to log in and play until December 12, when their accounts will be frozen.

They must withdraw their funds before that date or they won't be allowed access to them except by manual withdrawal, which involves contacting technical support for the casino and having a check for the remaining funds mailed to them.
