Poker Legend Doyle Brunson InterviewPublished September 24, 2009 by OCR Editor
Brunson reveals in candid talk with APCW's J Todd that women will join 10 men as part of the new Brunson 10 Campaign.
Poker legend Doyle Brunson has revealed that two women will be signed on in 2010 to play alongside 10 men as part of "The Brunson 10," his new campaign to find poker's next generation of stars.
Brunson made the revelation during an interview with APCW's J Todd on the sidelines of the Budapest Affiliate Conference last week.
The 10-time WSOP champion told Todd that three players had already been signed up, and that there was a long list of people to choose from to fill the remaining spots.
"We decided to go out and get the best young Internet players that we could find, and actually their character has got a lot to do with it, because Doylesroom tries to give the image of respectability and integrity," he said.
Brunson and Todd also discussed Doylesroom's new online casino, which can be accessed with the same account customers use to play online poker.
Finally, Doyle revealed that his autobiography, which has been five years in the making, is set to be released in November, just in time for the Christmas shopping period.
"There's actually some thing that I'm not too proud of that went on in my life, it's kind of a private thing," Brunson revealed. "It's a pretty accurate description of my poker life at least, where I came from and what I did and what happened to get me into the poker world."
Although written by an old college friend of Brunson's who went on to become an award winning journalist for the Associated Press, the book is all Brunson's own story.
