PokerStars Celebrates 100 Billion Hands

PokerStars is on track to reach the milestone of 100 billion hands dealt this June - and to celebrate, it will be launching a range of massive promotions said to be worth around $5 million.

PokerStars has already delivered a sneak peek into its six-week long Billion Hands promotion, and it is going to be huge. They will be delivering $2 million in cash throughout the promo, including $1 million on 300 milestone hands, and $1 million alone on the historic 100 billionth hand.

In addition, there will be plenty of promotional cash outside of the ring game tables. There will be a staggering $3 million in prizes awarded in special promotions covering a huge range of poker games. More details will be released in the coming weeks, so watch this space for updates.

Poker is everywhere

Poker is now everywhere around us thanks to sites such as PokerStars, which has gone from strength to strength in recent months with the announcement that its parent company will be building an Atlantic City casino and that the site itself has launched a social poker app for Facebook users.

The PokerStars Facebook app ushers in a new era for Facebook customers. It allows players to compete with their friends, family and associates for chips, although these cannot be cashed in for prizes. Chips are earned for winning games or for claiming prizes from in-game bonuses.
