Portugal or Chile? Which of these two mega-teams will make it to the Confederations Cup Final? Find out at 19:00 GMT.
Tonight at 19:00 GMT, at Kazan Arena, in Kazan, two super soccer powers will go head-to-head in this year's Confederations Cup Semi Final. Portugal, winners of the European Cup, and Chile, winners of the Copa America, face-off in a battle to reach the final match against either Mexico or Germany.
The first semi-final, which takes place this evening will focus around two main players. Cristiano Ronaldo and Alexis Sanchez. The two star forwards for their respective teams will be in the spotlight in hopes that they can continue to lead their team to victory at the Confederations Cup. For Portugal, Ronaldo has been under scrutiny in Spain for alleged tax-fraud, which has spurred talk of a possible trade. Ronaldo has scored an amazing 16 goals in his last 10 games for club and country, and has scored twice in this tournament, over three matches played and will definitely be looking to put a goal, or two, or three in the back of the net against Chile.
Alexis Sanchez has managed to score only one-goal over the three matches played so far, but he has been incredible offensively, making his team stronger and more dangerous, leaving other scorers open. Vidal, Rodriguez and Vargas are the other scorers, each with one-goal so far.
We will be treated to an intense match with two highly-offense driven teams, which could mean a high-scoring match. The defenses will be on alert, as the teams try their best to score, and in this regard, Portugal definitely has the advantage.
