Powerball was enjoyed across most of the United States - 42 states to be exact. But not by 50 million residents of California. From Monday, April 8, California residents too will be able to stand in line and buy a lottery ticket for one of the best known and highest paying lotteries in the world.

The next draw that Californians will be able to buy tickets for is April 10. It will be held live in Sacramento, for a jackpot exceeding $40 million.
Interestingly, California's Lottery Commission ad added the Powerball to its offerings back in November 29, 2012, soon after the record jackpot of $588 million was hit. California wants in, so why not join?
Online Lottery
Of course, with online lottery agents - online services for purchasing real lottery tickets, such as theLotter - whether a person lives in California or not becomes insignificant. However, the decision is expected to affect the jackpot prizes of the Powerball from now on, as many more people will likely buy tickets, and help raise the jackpot total.
