Powerball Jackpot Sole Winner of $128m

Lotto ticket numbers a perfect matched and the jackpot a perfect amount.

Lottery draws are a regular business online. Players can find upcoming lotto draws and purchase tickets, or subscribe to a specific lotto and have tickets filled automatically, with random or your own regular numbers. Whichever way you go about it, there is a common goal:

The Powerball Lotto draw on November 6 granted this wish to one lucky player, a yet unidentified person from Michigan. With the announcement of the winning numbers, the person has become the sole winner of $128,600,000.

The winning Powerball numbers were: 7, 12, 23, 34 and 38. The Powerball was 33 and the Power Play was 4.

The lottery ticket was purchased at a Detroit-area store, namely in Highland Park, an economically depressed enclave of Detroit. It just as well could have been purchased online, at sites like TheLotter, which sells Powerball tickets, and other online lottery services.

Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001. Its new post-strike jackpot will be set to $20 million ahead of Wednesday's draw.

Twice in 8 Days

Eight days earlier, on October 29, another Michigan resident won a large multistate lottery. In this case it was the $140 million Mega Millions jackpot. The holder of this ticket has also yet to claim his prize and become public.
