Pragmatic Play Contributes €100,000 to Assist Turkey-Syria Earthquake Relief Efforts

Pragmatic Play, a leading provider of online casino games, has donated €100,000 to support relief efforts in response to the devastating earthquakes that have damaged Turkey and Syria. The donation will go towards aiding those affected by the disaster and helping to rebuild the affected areas.
On 24th February 2023, Pragmatic Play demonstrated its dedication to supporting needy communities by donating €100,000 to the British Red Cross (Gibraltar). The funds were provided to support the Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal by the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), of which the British Red Cross is a member.
The earthquakes that struck on 6th February were 7.8 and 7.5, respectively. These devastating natural disasters caused the collapse of numerous buildings and destroyed vital infrastructure, leaving thousands of people trapped in the rubble. The affected area, which spans Turkey and neighboring Syria, suffered extensive damage, with hospitals and roads among the infrastructure lost.
The Turkish Red Crescent promptly launched a crisis response to aid those impacted by the earthquakes. This included mobilizing staff and volunteers to provide rescue efforts and distributing blankets and tents. In addition, emergency catering trucks and mobile kitchens were deployed to provide much-needed sustenance. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent is also responding to the disaster in Syria, providing essential services such as health, water, and nutrition to affected communities.
More than 45,000 people are believed to have lost their lives, while 100,000 others have been injured. Pragmatic Play's assistance will help sustain the ongoing aid efforts by providing essential medical treatment, shelter, food, warm blankets, and winter kits. The funds will go a long way in helping those affected by these tragic events to rebuild their lives and communities.
