Prague Gaming Summit Improves on Its Success in 2018

Prague’s market is heating up, and local experts showed attendees how to optimize entry and operations.

The Prague Gaming Summit 2018 has passed, and the organizers couldn’t be happier.

All About the Sponsors

The organizers were quick to express their pleasure with the valued contributions from supporting sponsors BetConstruct (Lanyards and Badge); NetEnt (Main Stage); SBTech (Registration); PLANZER LAW (Networking Break and Lunch); Tal Ron, Drihem & Co. Law Firm (Legal); and BtoBet (Digital Sponsor).

Key Panel

The first panel set the tone by highlighting the Czech Gambling Market.

Moderator Dr. Joerg Hofmann of Melchers Law Germany introduced panel speakers of Jan Rehola of PS Legal, Jakub Kolomicenko of Endorphina, Ivan Sagál of Bird and Bird, and Tal Zamstein of Fortuna Group.

State of Technology

Local Landscape

Panel speaker Sagál went over the gambling landscape in Czechia, providing insight on the new online laws that have changed the regulatory landscape, emphasizing the grander scope of new internet-focussed laws.

Encouraging Foreign Entry

Rehola (PS Legal) chimed in to say that he hoped to see more foreign operators join PokerStars in the Czech market as the laws take hold—laws whose simplicity in relation to other European countries he expertly illustrated, with Zamstein backing up the assertion based on the evidence he has observed operating regulated markets in Europe.

Kolomicenko of local success story Endorphina talked about technical requirements for suppliers, calling the biggest issue facing them “the limitation of the maximum win.”

Testimonials

The event garnered strong praise from major industry players in attendance. Among them, NetEnt Head of New Sales Nadiya Attard praised “Prague Gaming Summit as “definitely the most important event when it comes to learning and networking with the experts of the industry from Central European countries” while pointing out that the 2018 version of PGS had doubled its participants from the initial event in 2017.

Betgenius Business Development Manager Vladimir Horak called the event “amazing,” saying the organization, venue, and panels were all visibly enriched from last year’s inspiring offerings.
