Premier League Betting: Aston Villa Vs. Manchester United

United travel to take on Aston Villa tonight at 21:15 GMT and there are some competitive odds surrounding the match-up.

Manchester United is set to win a fifth consecutive match in all competitions as they meet with Aston Villa tonight.
Manchester United has been a different team since the restart of the Premier League and is arguably the most improved team in the league right now. They have scored three wins in four matches, which has them looking at a top-four finish to the season.

United is currently fifth in the Premier League table. They are in a great position to minimize the gap with Leicester (4th place) to a single point if they beat Aston Villa, but the Lions are hungry for a win and desperate to stay in the top-tier next season.

The Villans have been one of the worst teams in the Premier League this year, only securing 27 points. They are currently in 18th place and a loss tonight will be detrimental to their cause.

Aston Villa is still yet to win a match since mid-January.

For the home side, Dean Smith is likely to miss out on defenders Matt Targett and Bjorn Engels due to injury. He could have John McGinn back, as well as Tyrone Mings and key player, Jack Grealish.

For United, Victor Lindelof is working through a back injury that he sustained in the win over Bournemouth. He is a doubt heading into this match. Eric Bailly will be back and is in line to make his return to the starting lineup.

Premier League Odds

bet365 Sport has posted all of the odds and specialty markets ahead of tonight's match. United are visiting but they are definitely leading the odds-race at 1.30. Aston Villa is at 9.50 for the win. A draw is worth 5.50 and could be a smart bet.

The odds mentioned in this article at the bookmaker mentioned were accurate at the time of its writing, Thursday, July 9 at 13:00 GMT.
