Premier League Is Back: Tottenham Vs. Manchester United

Sol FH. - June 18, 2020

The Premier League is back and there is a huge match-up tomorrow at 20:15 GMT between the Hot Spur at the Red Devils.

After more than 100 days off, the Premier League is finally back, as matches resumed last night. The action resumed with two matches including a draw between Aston Villa and Sheffield United, and Manchester City destroying Arsenal 3-0.

Tonight, we've got another huge meeting between two teams seeking a top-five finish to the shortened season as the Tottenham Hot Spur taking on the Man U., at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The squads experienced very different form prior to the COVID-19-enforced shutdown, with the Red Devils going 11 matches without a defeat in all competitions, while the Hot Spurs failed to win in six.

It will be a struggle but United are much better poised for a top-five finish, sitting three places higher than Spurs and it will likely be the final Champions League qualifying spot.

It shouldn't be forgotten that Unites had their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign this year, which led the people to doubt Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future at Old Trafford.

They were luckily able to turn their luck around in January, winning eight and drawing three of their last 11 matches. Solskjaer's side has won 11 points from the last 15 in the Premier League, including an impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester City last time out in the competition.

The Spurs have been very inconsistent this season, as well as drawing with Burnley, they suffered successive losses to Chelsea and Wolverhampton, leaving them four points behind United in eighth place.

Manchester United will have Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford back in the lineup, which should improve their chances of taking a stab at the top-four.

Tottenham will also be in better shape as they will have Harry Kane, Steven Bergwijn, Son Heung-min, and Moussa Sissoko back in the lineup.
