Premier League Monday Night Soccer: Manchester City vs Everton

The first Monday Night matchup of the regular season gets underway at 20:00 GMT.

The Toffees are in for a tough road match as they head to Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City. This will be the second match of the 2017/18 regular season and both of these two teams started the year off with a win. Wayne Rooney scored a huge goal in his return to Everton against Stoke, while City were simply way too much for their opener against Brighton.

Both teams will be fired up to play the last game of Matchday 2, but Pep Guardiola stated that he really doesn't like playing on Monday's, but he is confident that his squad will dominate. It should be interesting to see Everton's lineup and how dangerous Wayne Rooney will be for the Toffees throughout the season, especially against top-tier teams like City.

Guardiola's side are among the few favorites to win the league this season and he has worked incredible hard to acquire some targeted selections to operate the best possible team he can. The Toffee's are far behind the front-runners to win tomorrow night, but they looked good in their season opener even if City also look even better than last year.

Over their first five games of the season so far, Everton have not conceded a goal, but it would be a tall task to try and shut out City while in their home stadium.

Premier League Betting Markets and Odds

For a team that hasn't been scored on in five outings, Everton are way back in the odds with bet365 Sports posting odds at 12.00. For City, the bet365 Sports odds are 1.28 and a draw is 6.00. A draw could be the best bet in this instance, and bettors would be handsomely rewarded for such a bet. There will be live audio, stats, and match alerts for the game tonight and punters will also be able to get in on a nice line of live in play bets as well.
